The idea behind 3-in-1 jackets is maximum versatility. A waterproof outer protects you from the weather while a removable synthetic inner provides warmth, and the integration is often better than two discrete layers worn together.
Sprayway have launched two new 3-in-1 jackets for this autumn/winter. This shorter length 3-in-1 Hydro/Dry shell jacket and Sprayway Inso/Therm synthetic inner is described as “a perfect solution in variable climates and looks as good as it feels”.
Paired alongside the waterproof shell is an interactive jacket using Sprayway’s exclusive Inso/therm synthetic insulation, which gives extremely high warmth-to-weight ratio.
While some backpackers and hillwalkers find synthetic insulation too warm for wearing while on the go, these look like good options for winter use in foul conditions where synthetic fill can be better than down – and both weight and price are decent too for what you get.
