A look at the updates to Osprey’s series of backpacks, the Kestrel and Kyte
The Kestrel and Kyte series of 28-to 68-litre bags have been updated for Spring 2016, all given a slimmer and cleaner look. For the most part the changes aren’t too obvious: one or two straps for volume adjustment have been removed and little nooks have been introduced so toggles and clips can be tucked away. What’s most worth noting is that all of the packs, bar the Kestrel 28, now have have a vertical side zip as an extra access point to the main compartment. The back panel has a bit more thought to it as well, with multi-directional air channels added. The packs all retain their popular features like the front stretch pocket and ‘stow-on-the-go’ pole attachment.
