These striking-looking boots are made from a smooth soft shell fabric with rigid reinforcements to stop it collapsing. They also have hard heel and toe bumpers. The
cushioning and grip are fine. If they fit they are probably comfortable but the fit is far too narrow and low volume for me and I can only walk a short distance in them before they are too painful. These are definitely boots for those with slim narrow feet. They have a shank and are laterally quite stiff, which is good for traversing steep ground. They flex easily at the forefoot but the flex point is farther forward than on most boots. Lacing is snug and secure. If they fit these are adequate boots when there’s not much snow about. The weight is quite low and the price is excellent.
