The Super Windy Cap could as easily be called the Super Hot Cap as it is very, very warm as the inner is a thick hi-loft pile. The shell is windproof and water-resistant but not fully waterproof. It has a big stiff peak that gives good protection but can’t be flipped out of the way when not needed. The ear flaps can be folded out of the way, though I think if it was warm enough to do this it’d be too warm to wear the hat. The flaps do protect the ears and the back of the neck well. A neck cord can be added.
