One of Scotland’s finest mountains hits the big screen this month with the release of feature film Edie. Our Editor, Emily Rodway, met up with the director and the film’s star, Sheila Hancock, to hear about their experiences of filming in the wilds of Sutherland. Our Gear Editor, Chris Townsend, has also contributed a stunning feature on Suilven, exploring just why it’s one of our best hills.
This month we review two books: Kinder Scout: The People’s Mountain by Ed Douglas and John Beatty, which David Lintern says is a “quietly astonishing and important piece of work”; and The Lynx and Us by David Hetherington is reviewed by Roger Smith, who “found this book a valuable source of information – and the photographs are lovely.”
