The latest innovation spotted at the massive gear exhibition in Friedrichschafen
Not yet available in the UK, the Leatherman Tread is an innovative new multi-tool that it is claimed can be worn on-board flights.
The product is designed as a wristband or bracelet, each tread featuring a different tool. When clenched together it forms a handle that is almost as stiff as that of a normal Leatherman.
There are 25 tools altogether, including screw drivers, wrenches, even a windshield/glass breaker and cutting hook. Also featured is a SIM card remover, something that’s not seen on any other Leatherman products. Each can be completely rearranged on the wrist band as well.
The stainless steel product will be available in the UK later this year and will retail at 200 Euros.
