The Friluft 45 is another curvedback pack. However it has mesh panels on each side of the central air space that give protection from side winds. The frame isn’t too curved either, so it doesn’t impede packing much or hold the load very far from the back. I found the pack comfortable and stable with a 10kg load.
The capacity is generous for a 45-litre pack – Fjällräven’s litres are clearly large ones! However, while the main compartment is roomy the stretch side and front pockets are on the small side. Bigger ones would be much more versatile.
The weight and the price are both high.
