The Loke is unusual in that it contains bamboo-charcoal-treated fabric that is said to offer “natural resistance to bad odours”. Fleece smelling isn’t a problem I’ve encountered so I can’t say how effective this is. Otherwise the fabric is a soft ribbed fleece of similar warmth to Polartec 200. I find it too warm for walking in when the temperature is much above freezing. The weight is reasonable but it is quite bulky for carrying in the rucksack. The handwarmer pockets are roomy but lie under a rucksack hipbelt. However the chest pocket is very roomy, unlike most, and will hold a map. Surprisingly for a Scandinavian design the fit is on the small side and I found the arms and shoulders a little tight in the medium size. Overall this is an okay fleece but the price is high and there are better choices for warmth and weight at lower prices.
