These classy looking Italian-made leather boots show how far Hi-Tec has come in recent years in producing top quality footwear that can compete with the best. With their almost rigid sole and weighty upper, these are boots for the snow in my view – I think they’re too stiff and would be too warm for summer. They do have a rocker sole, which takes some of the sting and effort out of walking in rigid boots. The fit is on the wide side and I can wear them with thick socks. The collar is quite soft and when
laced tight there is no heel lift. There’s a wide rand round the edge of the sole, solid toe and heel bumpers, good cushioning and a good Vibram sole. The weight is on the high side. The price is reasonable for this type of boots.
