These excellent gloves will cope with most conditions. Made from Power Shield, which I rate as one of the best softshell fabrics, they are windproof, water-resistant and very breathable. They’re not fully waterproof as the seams aren’t sealed but when wet they are still quite warm and they dry quickly. The simple cuff means they can be pulled on and off easily with nothing to adjust. The inner lining is soft and doesn’t stick when hands or gloves are damp. The leather reinforcement on the fi ngers is curved over the fi ngertips so there are no seams at this vulnerable point. The gloves are close-fi tting and I can open and close pack buckles and clothing fastenings while wearing them. In sub zero temperatures, especially when it’s windy, pairing them with overmitts makes for a warm combination.
