This is a superb fleece. It feels luxurious and is very warm for the weight. I like the use of recycled fabrics too. I’d love to recommend it and if money is no object I do recommend it. But it’s the most expensive fleece reviewed and I can’t see a justification for the extra cost. The Berghaus Scorch is just about as warm, is lighter weight and costs a full £55 less. And for £50 of that you can buy an EDZ Yeti, which is much warmer, though heavier, and still have £5 left. The R2 is made from a shaggy pile that is extremely soft and comfortable with thinner stretch panels on the sides and lower arms for a close fit with freedom of movement and increased durability. The fabric is very breathable as the weave is quite open and it dries fast when damp. The handwarmer pockets are roomy but the chest pocket is quite small. My only real complaint is the price.
