These Italian-made boots are well designed and packed with hi-tech features. The last is designed for ‘the male foot’ and certainly fits me well, being wide at the forefoot and snug at the ankle. The sole is verging on semi-stiff. Laterally there is no give at all. The heel and toe are rock hard and reinforced with synthetic material. The firm midsole cushions well and the tread gives good grip. There is memory foam at the ankle and the top of the tongue that moulds to your shape. The lacing holds the boots in place well. These are top quality boots if you like fairly stiff ones. But there are two
drawbacks – the cost and the weight. These are both high and there are lighter weight, lower cost alternatives that may not be quite so high quality but which are still very good.
